The MCY Go-to-Market Process is extremely valuable in every dimension of building a company: sharpening the value proposition; unifying the messaging; positioning the company for outside investment; broadening and deepening the understanding of the scope of the challenges that lie ahead—and all of this while providing a positive atmosphere for the team-building so critical to long-term success. Having worked with many startups and early-stage companies as an executive, investor and outside advisor, I know there is a common belief that this kind of process is for bigger companies and at a later time; but for us, it was cost-effective, a time-saver and a jump-starter for everything we needed to do.
